Tim is incredible and super customer-focused. I scheduled an appointment and Tim offered the flexibility to adjust my time of arrival, and even taught me a few things about my car that I had yet to learn. Tim is beyond honest, knowledgeable, and has me ready to return for my next scheduled maintenance. I really landed on a gem here, and recommend Diablo Auto Specialists.

We wanted to check out the condition of a used car at a nearby dealer and used Diablo to do the review of its condition. Tim was very thorough in replying to my calls and questions about the car and the findings. He went the extra mile to make recommendations for us as future Subaru owners of what kinds of things to be aware of and he was very positive about the car and the work he does. I would definitely recommend this shop for anything you may need with your cars.

As usual, it was a pleasure to get my car serviced at Diablo Auto Specialists. Tim and his mechanics keep our three-year-old Subaru and 17-year-old Nissan in top shape, without costing an arm and a leg. I really appreciate the great service!

Service is great cost is reasonable

Diablo Auto conducted a used car inspection. I've used this shop for decades and always found them knowledgeable and friendly. On more than one situation they saved me money as well. If you need good professional mechanic who is HONEST, this is your place.

We had been going to the dealership in Oakland for almost 5 years for our car’s regular maintenance. After moving farther from the city, we decided to try a family-owned auto shop to take care of our car. And so we found Diablo Auto as it has really good reviews and high rating. Making an online appointment was very easy. They send reminders. Check-in and out was smooth. Special instructions (no tire rotation as we do it separately) were followed and the tasks performed on the car were meticulously explained before we leave. We can tell right away that our Subie had the proper maintenance as its engine seems to run more smoothly after. A more personalized customer service is a nice touch as you talk directly with the owner, Tim. My husband will be bringing his Crown Vic next time. We are hoping this is a start of a lasting partnership with Diablo Auto.

Tim is awesome. Had them replace an air conditioner over three years ago and it is still going strong. I recently called in because I am selling a car that stalled because of low idle. Tim asked if I recently replaced the battery, which I did, and told me my particular car takes time to relearn where to idle after replacing the battery so I should give it time and see if it resolves. I wanted the to check out the car anyways because I am selling the car and wanted piece of mind everything was running well. They confirmed it was just the idle resetting and gave me a price break. Got to appreciate the honesty! I took my other car in for brakes. This is my go to mechanic. Fair, honest, and great work that is much cheaper than paying dealer prices.

There was an issue and Tim called me to explain that the car had to stay overnight. I had something that evening and Tim offered to pay for my Uber considering the situation! Very good service and reliable place. Tim always explains things in simple terms and makes sure you know what is being charged.
