Walnut Creek Auto Repair

This was my first visit to Diablo Auto Specialists. I needed my car towed to somewhere close by in WC - rather than to my long-time regular mechanic 20 miles away. Call me a loyalist. Well, my car (Subaru) is like my baby and I won't let just anyone work on it, so I scoured the Yelp reviews, got a good feeling about this shop, and gave them a call. Tim, the shop owner, talked to me and put my mind at ease. Right away I got that he definitely listens to his customers. It was mid-afternoon when I called but even with such short notice, he got to work on a diagnosis almost as soon as I got the car over there (towed because the engine light was flashing upon start-up). The repair was done the next day - thankfully nothing major. Tim was completely straight-up about what was needed (and nothing more) and worked for a fair price. He and his wife, who works at the front desk, were very kind and courteous. I would not hesitate to bring my car to them again in the future.

I was very pleased with the service I received for my car as well as the courtesy I received the moment I walked through the front door. I paid a fair price (actually somewhat lower compared to a nearby Honda dealership) for comprehensive maintenance work and I also received a discount that is usually reserved for online customers. I will go back and recommend this place to my friends.

I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else! Tim & his team have taken great care of my car since 2009. They are honest and not in business to take advantage of anyone. Everything is clearly explained and there aren't any suprises when it comes time to pay. Tim even lets me know when I need to start thinking about having something replaced (like the breaks or my tires).

Tim and Ryan are the most honest people I know. The other day, I took my car to the Diablo Auto for a check up. The initial estimate was over $100, but they checked the car, and said that the car is fine and THERE WAS NO CHARGE. Thank you very much to Tim and Ryan. How many people do you know these days that will NOT charge you, when you take your car to their shop? I recommend the Diablo Auto, highly.
