Tim

Tim (and his wife Cathy) are the owners of Diablo Auto Specialists. They purchased the business in 2002 and are working hard to take a great place to have your car serviced, and make it even better. Tim is a twenty-six year veteran in the automotive service business. Tim is currently the President of the Mt. Diablo chapter of Automotive Service Councils of California, a trade organization promoting the highest level of professionalism within the Independent Automotive Service industry. "We take an oath to abide by a Code of Ethics that all Automotive Service Professionals should live by. Tim is also an ASE certified Automotive Service Consultant & Parts Specialists. "I really enjoy taking the time with each customer to make their automotive experience as easy and positive as I can" says Tim. It should be personal and comfortable. That's something you likely won't find at a dealership! When Tim's not at the shop he enjoys spending time relaxing with his family, reading, & singing with two different music groups.

Rich

Rich joined the Diablo Auto Specialists family in January 2003, and is our resident "Honda Expert". Rich has over thirty years experience as a professional auto mechanic, has previously earned ASE Technician certifications, and has known Tim for 16 years. Rich's automotive career began when he and a friend open the original Oceanworks garage in Ithaca, New York. It was your typical "hippie-garage" working on everything from Alfa's to VW's. Rich's entrepreneurial spirit gave in, after a few east coast winters fixing cars, to the calling of sunny California, and he's been here ever since. Aside from cars, one of Rich's real passions are riding one of his three prized Ducati motorcycles. On sunny days you'll probably see his "yellow duc" parked in the shop!     P.S. If you have a favorite "Calvin & Hobbs" strip, it's guaranteed to get a laugh out of him.

Richie

Richie is the newest member of the Diablo Auto Specialists family. Richie joined us in June 2003 and even though he's only 22, he has 8 years experience as an automotive technician. Richie's family was in the auto repair business in Redding Ca. and he grew up around the business. Richie has the passion and enthusiasm for this business that only a young person usually has, and we love having him around because he keeps the rest of us excited about what we do for a living. Richie also holds ASE Technician certifications. When Richie's not working here, you might just find him fishing, or just hanging out with family and friends.
